Lycos Asset Management Inc. is a BC registered investment management firm based in Vancouver, Canada. We manage the Lycos Investment Funds and offer unbiased financial advice to individuals and institutions through Separately Managed Accounts. Why are we called Lycos Asset Management? It's simple: My name is Constantine Lycos and I founded this investment management firm. I don't believe in hiding behind faceless corporations so that's why I founded this firm and put my name on it. I strongly believe in my investment principles so I am not afraid to put my name behind them.

Our Team:

Constantine Lycos, BSc, MPhil (Oxford), CIM, DMS, CFA  - President and Portfolio Manager

I am the founder, president and chief investment officer. I manage the Lycos Value Fund and segragated portfolios of a select group of high net worth families.

Steve Nyvik, BBA, MBA, CIM, CFP, RFP -  Portfolio Manager and Financial Planner

Steve is a portfolio manager and seasoned financial planner with 20 years experience providing comprehensive advice to high net worth families.

Gregg Lutton, BA, MFIN - Marketing and Business Development Associate

Gregg joined Lycos Asset Management after completing an MFIN specializing in hedge fund and private equity management from the University of Monaco. Prior to joining Lycos Asset Management he had worked on various venture capital projects.

What makes us different or better than other investment management firms

1. Our investment philosophy:

We buy good businesses at good prices;

We do not hide behind partial ownership or diversification: only invest in a business if owning and operating the entire business would make sense financially and what the company does aligns with our set of values. We also believe that "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush!", meaning we prefer "blue chip" investing to speculation, conservative, more certain but perhaps lower returns than aggressive investing or speculating that may have lead to higher returns or no returns at all.

We offer unbiased financial advice free of all conflicts of interest. Our asset-based and/or performance based compensation aligns our interests with the clients'.
